Event: UNCOVERING WESTMINSTER’S HIDDEN HISTORY

One of our Friends, Mike Marriott, has recently completed a year’s course at the University of Westminster to become a qualified Westminster Guide! He is now keen to put his knowledge at the service of the Friends.

He is planning to lead a walk for Friends and friends of Friends, looking at some of the history in the Covent Garden and Strand areas. Reference will also be made to some of the issues relating to homelessness, both in the past and the present time.

This Walk will take place on Tuesday 17 September at 6pm, starting at the portico of St Martin-in-the-Fields. All the proceeds will go to the Friends, to support the work of The Connection.

Mike is also happy to lead walks around Westminster or other parts of London in return for a donation to the Friends. So if any Friends are interested in asking Mike to lead a Group – maybe of family members or for any organisation you belong to – do let him know.

He can be contacted on mike.marriott1@ntlworld.com.

You can book a place below. The suggested minimum donation per person is £10.
