Helping London's Homeless
What happens if you can’t stay at home during the pandemic because you have no home?
At the beginning of the pandemic, up to 300 people slept rough in Westminster every night. As London’s busiest homelessness centre in normal times, The Connection has since helped hundreds of clients into accommodation, supporting them once they are there and ensuring they are safe and well.
A number of procedures were put in place when the Day Centre re-opened in August 2020 to keep everyone as safe as possible. In January 2021, there are still people who need our support on the streets of London and The Connection recognises the importance of having an accessible service where people are provided with basic amenities, a friendly face and in-person support to begin their journey away from homelessness.
